Dynamite Island’s Catherine Carter is the co-founder of Fairbeats, a charity making music with young Londoners from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. “They’re Playing My Song” is a collection of songs, films and podcasts celebrating more than 10 years of Fairbeats. As part of the project, we worked with four Fairbeats parents to create short films about music: music that connects them to home, music they sing to their loved ones, and music that gives them hope.
The films were screened at the Albany during Refugee Week 2022 as part of the Meet Me at the Albany programme.
